OUR SERVICES


PACESC, SERVING THE HOMESCHOOL COMMUNITY ONE FAMILY AT A TIME. Every homeschooling family is unique and PACESC is very honored to be able to serve the homeschool community.  Whether it’s a quick question or a lengthy individualized student plan, we’ll spend time listening to you and then provide support, encouragement, and guidance to you on your personal homeschool journey.
We also provide a wide range of professional services to meet your homeschooling needs.

Membership Documents

Members receive a membership letter and membership card so they have a record that they are registered with PACESC and compliant with SC law. The member letter can be used as proof when school officials, Social Services, or the Department of Motor Vehicles need proof that the children are "in school". The letter and card can be used to receive student discounts at events, museums, etc. Also receive teacher discounts and privileges at major chain bookstores, craft stores, etc.

Membership Support

PACESC members receive support via telephone, email, and our closed Facebook group. We are often available in the evening and weekends, especially via email and Facebook private messaging. We pride ourself on providing one-on-one guidance and support including curriculum counseling and high school planning.

Membership Discounts

PACESC members also save money by receiving Group Discount Memberships:
HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) and SCHEA (SC Home Educators Association- the SC statewide support group.
Other discounts may be added as they come available.

Renewing/Returning Member Forms

Are you a current member wanting to RENEW  or do you wish to RE-ENROLL when your family has been with PACESC for any period, even if there has been a gap in coverage and you are returning?

PLEASE CHOOSE CAREFULLY.

USE ONE OF THESE 2 FORMS BASED ON YOUR SITUATION:

SCENARIO #1:
CURRENT Member Renewing:  This will RENEW your family membership when you are renewing from the last member period and do not wish to have a gap in your coverage.
Use this form if your children did not return to public/private school and you did not enroll with another accountability group for any part of last year or the beginning of this school year.
You can also add children to the membership that were not previously homeschooling under PACESC. They are not considered new as long as you are adding them to your existing family membership.
Remember that all memberships expired on May 31st of the coverage period. This will continue your previous membership.
*($10 Late fee will be incurred when renewing a current membership after August 15th.)

SCENARIO #2:

PAST PACESC Member wanting to Re-enroll: This will renew your family membership from your application date through May 31st of the coverage period.

Use this form if your family left PACESC to return the children to public or private school, enrolled in another accountability group, or moved out of state and are returning to SC to homeschool. The amount of time you were away is not important.

This renewal option DOES NOT continue a previous membership without interruption. It renews a membership formerly active with PACESC from the time you return, presuming that you are withdrawing from some other legal option.

You will keep the same member id number you had before. Contact us if you do not remember your prior membership number, even if the child you are registering today was not on your prior membership.

High School Students Enrolling or Renewing.

*High School Students are required to enroll in the Full Transcript Service, paying the fee once per student, not once per year. An exception to this service fee can be granted if the parent will provide the transcript or the student's academic program will provide the transcript and diploma.*
If you inform PACESC that you will be providing the transcript yourself and decide later that you need the transcript prepared by PACESC, there will be an additional $15 fee.
If you need the transcript expedited or sent overnight to you or a person/school you designate, there will be an additional $25 fee. Please keep your own needs and deadlines in mind when ordering transcripts. This service provided at the discretion of the director.

Order your student's Finalized Transcript & Diploma using this same form.

This fee is one-time and non-refundable. The service is required for PACESC high school students. -Exemptions are available-  It covers all the credit earning years throughout high school* (*including any credits earned in middle school). Official Reports, in progress transcripts- as needed- are included. If the student is enrolled in PACESC at the time high school is completed, they also receive a handsome, professionally produced Diploma and final Official High School Transcript which we keep on record and can send officially sealed to any institution upon your request. The transcript includes the student's GPA tabulated according to the SC Uniform Grading Scale Policy, 4.0-weighted GPA, Collegiate Testing Scores (if received), Extra Curricular Activities and Honors.

There is no additional charge to have the finalized transcript and diploma produced for students enrolled in this service.

Ordering Other Records & Reports

I need to order a transcript or report for my student(s) who is either in a lower grade (not earning credits) or my student graduated over one year ago.

If you need the transcript expedited or sent overnight to you or a person/school you designate, there will be an additional $25 fee. Please order your reports/transcript keeping your own deadlines in mind. This service provided at the descretion of the director.

I need a report card style report that will verify current membership status and document grades for a specific grading period.

Reordering Transcript sent : beyond one year after graduating

PACESC provided my transcript through the Full Transcript Service. I graduated over a year ago and I need a copy of my official transcript sent to me or a person/ school I designate.
Your transcript, as on file with PACESC, will be sent per your request.

Ordering Transcript for a Student previously granted an exemption

I requested and received an exemption for my student from the High School Student Fee / Full Transcript Service. I would like PACESC to prepare my student's official high school transcript.
An extra fee will be assessed as previously stated when the exemption was granted.

GRADE REPORT FORM


Members (Current & Past) Use Only:
  • Parents will use this form to submit their student's grades if they wish to have them kept on file and when ordering official reports or interim transcripts.
  • Parents with high school students using the Full Transcript Service will use this form to report their student's grades.

Year End Compliance Form

Member Use Only: Due each year at the completion of 180 instructional days. Each member must complete this form attesting to compliance with the law while under PACESC.

Withdraw Student to take GED

PACESC supports our members to know what is best for their students. When it is in a student's best interest to take the GED we must have this form on file to send out the necessary Verification of Withdrawal form needed by the GED office.
